These are fleets. They represent fleeting thoughts that don't warrant a full post. They used to be called tweets. Now they live here; thanks to Elon.

Had to temporarily remove the previous/next nav options at the bottom of an entry until I figure out how to not include fleets. Nothing to see here.

Shortcuts is so broken… It is beyond frustrating to have shortcuts built only a month or two ago broken without any clear reason why.

For anyone else using iA Writer and trying out their new Proofread shortcut that leverages a ChatGPT integration… the annotations from the edited file are hidden in Focus Mode and you won’t see that they’re embedded at the bottom footnote-style. I like the annotation feature of the integration, but will have to remember to remove them after I re-read to ensure nothing other than spelling/grammar was changed.

A lovely bloom from the Hario Switch a few days ago.

Last couple of weeks have been busy with life but this weekend should offer some writing time. 🤞

I have two tons of river rocks ranging from 1” to 3” in my driveway. Can’t wait to work on the front yard tomorrow and see some visible change at the end of it.

Decided to clean out my sticker cache. Since I have my Apple Magic Keyboard covered in stickers, the Magflött stand is a logical extension. These are mostly from brands or products I believe in. The Arc one just looks cool, and I’m reserving the right to believe in them once they decide what they’re product will actually be.

Really enjoying looking at this while working. Have had the pot on the desk for some time, but the plant is a new gift from my mother-in-law’s vast collection.

Finally started my year of no phone in bed last night. Happy to resume fiction reading as a wind down activity. Just started the Orphan X series and need to pick up The Girl That Kicked The Hornet’s Nest where I left off.

If you have any recommendations for similar fiction books/series, please email me. I have read all of Daniel Suarez’s novels and enjoyed them, as another point of reference.

Was never fully satisfied with the selection of the hand waving” icon for the /about” page. Finally spent some time finding one I like better.

Mind blown… Blot supports inline Markdown image sizing. Both explicit dimension and percentage values work. This is so great. Examples:

Chicago skyscrapers.Chicago skyscrapers.

I’m back to 16-hour intermitent fasting. I haven’t done it regularly since going full remote when COVID hit in 2020. 3 days in and it’s easier than ever. Looking forward to the focus and energy boost that normally comes with it.

It’s so awesome to see people finding value or interest in these little experiments (like fleets). After having looked at the card-UI more, I may apply it to the Guestbook as well. Pretty handy to have re-usable CSS snippets to easily define a class.

Really digging the simplicity of using Blank Spaces app for my homescreen setup. Each of these is a stack that I can get to other info at a glance. I should do a proper write up on this at some point.

I wonder how many of these little itches I’ll have to scratch before I stop adding new features or functions and just write. A lot.

I wonder over time which method I’ll use more often between posting via SMS vs. the shortcut I built.

March 23, 2024 at 11:21PM

I’m really digging the ability to post a fleet with just my voice while driving via CarPlay. SMS fits this use case pretty well.

Posting this fleet as a placeholder for some UI work later tonight. I want to give fleets a card-like feel.
